WANNA JOIN MY BOYBAND?… OF FOUR JOSHES?

I will teach original choreography to “Not Just a Boy Band of Four Joshes”, choreographed by Kathryn Burns from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. (Clips available on YouTube and full episodes available on Netflix).

This lab is for enthusiastic beginner dancers who love musicals and who want to learn more about the behind the scenes process of filming dance numbers for television.

*This workshop and all my classes, are safe-spaces for all participants to explore, try new things and practice committing to our artistic expression. Unlike many other dance classes, this is a process-focused class, NOT a product-focused class.

I will perform with my students and sing live during a few of our run-throughs after we’ve warmed up, learned the choreography, talked about the story, and discussed the behind the scenes nuances of filming musical numbers on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Filming yourself is optional and is encouraged, BUT only at specific times before the end. I will also offer myself as a cameraman, if need be. =)

You DO NOT have to be on camera. Please let me know before class so that we can honor your request.

**Workshop ends with a 30 minute group reflection and Q&A outside our studio space, in the lobby or outside the building (pending weather).
