#fbf So, exactly 1 week ago, Sept 3rd, I saw @shangchi which premiered in movie theaters all over the world and it was/is, one of the BEST live action feature films I’ve ever seen❗️And I saw it twice 😁 …thanks to @goldhouse #goldopen 💥🙏🏼 I was so captivated & thoroughly entertained with its humor, its awesome compelling story, it’s authentic representation of Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders and their families, its stunningly beautiful & epically thrilling action-fight sequences, and of course, the AMAZING cast (most of whom are of Asian decent 🙌🏼), crew & creatives that created this truly stunning film. YES @marvelstudios 👏🏼🔥‼️😆 And personally, I’ve been waiting for a movie like this since I was a little kid training in martial arts pretending to be a Ninja Turtle. 😋 This film is truly an inspiration to us all. It gives us hope that we are making progress, continuing to further open the doors of representation unlike EVER before. I attended the #ShangChi #GoldOpen last night @elcapitanthtre w/ my hubby @gjw1801 You guys, @ShangChi so awesomely fantastic!!! @simuliu crushed it as our first Asian-marvel superhero! 🔥💥🙌🏼 And I can’t wait to see this movie again! This movie got me pumped up I’m so many ways. I definitely miss my martial arts classes but what really hit me was seeing so many #AAPI (Asian-American Pacific Islander) representation throughout the entire movie. Seeing a mostly Asian cast in a @marvelstudios feature film really hit my heart and made me feel excited about this new path of how Asians are cast in Hollywood, specifically Asian men.
