For enthusiastic beginner dancers who love musicals and who want to learn more about the behind the scenes process of filming dance numbers for television.
I will teach original choreography to “Not Just a Boy Band of Four Joshes” by Kat Burns from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

After a welcome, we will go through a warm up and then move onto learning the movements, style, and vibe of the song. We will discuss the story, characters, and moments involved in the context of the song while I share behind-the-scenes info when we filmed it. You will then get to be any or all four Joshes during the dance portion.

You will also learn the terminology we use on set when filming this number.
I will perform with you and sing live, during a few of our run-throughs.

Filming is optional, and is encouraged but only at a specific time before the end. I will also offer my services as a cameraman. You DO NOT have to be on camera. Please let me know in advance so that we can honor your request.

Props are welcome!

Workshop ends with a 30 minute group reflection and Q&A outside our studio space, in the lobby, or outside the building (pending weather).
