Episode 3 of my Pittsburgh Concert last week at @citywinery_pgh which includes BTS of the venue, playing piano & dancing w/ @daisyjadetv my interviewer from @pittsburghtodaylive plus our actual LIVE interview including an introduction of my producer @dmhmproductions of @latidoproductions (who put together this whole trip for me in Pittsburgh)
After some piano playing & chatting with me during the interview, I had a 1st time moment…doing a magic trick on LIVE TV! 😅♠️♥️♣️♦️ (I was so nervous my hands shook and I had to fumble with the cards under the table 😂)

🕺🏻 💃🏻Dance is for everybody! 🤗 And I love taking classes where there are all shapes, sizes, age ranges, and ethnic backgrounds, and in the last few years, I’ve even noticed an array of fellow neurodivergent brains who share my love and appreciation for the incredible benefits that dance has to offer.

Aside from the obvious aerobic and cardiovascular benefits of dance, one of my favorite benefits of how connected to my body I feel when I do it. And, how I get to explore my creativity at the same time. 🧠🎨

I’ll be teaching dance classes again soon in LA as well as in cities like Austin, TX, Washington, DC and Pittsburgh, PA… I hope to see you in one of my classes or even in class next to me as a student.

As I learned from @ericthetrainer over and over again, fitness is not just about the results you get, it’s also about the community you develop around you in the process.

Happy Friday y’all, and I hope you’re enjoying your process, whatever that may be to you.

Thanks to everyone who showed up last night and to everyone who’s coming today for my three workshops here in Pittsburgh at the Philippines center!

Huge thanks to the incredible caring and lovely staff at @citywinery_pgh and fellows, care team & producing associates at @latidoproductions @dmhmproductions for making last night, such an amazing evening filled with joy and celebrating, not only musical theater, but connecting to community and celebrating the musicals and songs from @cw_crazyxgf that brings so much joy to so many people. (Fun fact: This original cast recording of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, starred Brian d’Arcy James, singing this song, Blue Skies, as Bob Wallace, while I was in the ensemble singing and dancing. 🙂
This recording however, despite how it’s labeled on here, is actually featuring the original cast of the show that premiered this production at the Curran Theatre in SF. When White Christmas finally made it to Broadway many years and numerous companies later, nor Brian or I were in the show at that point, but for some reason the Broadway show used both our original cast recording & our original cast’s photos in the Bway show poster.

G3V will give GROOV3 students a chance to DANCE, SWEAT and LIVE out their inner music video dancer dreams. Now it’s time to show off all that hard work & star in your own music video!!!

And YES, we will have a LIVE DJ spinning your favorite dance hits from the 2000’s to today’s hit dance songs. Make sure to eat a snack before this class cause you’re gonna burn it all off. <emoji>

*For those who want to filming themselves, we will save that for the last 15 mins of class.

What is GROOV3?
“1” non-stop DJ set with all the best jams…
“2” speeds of choreography to get the moves in you giving you…

*GROOV3 is for ALL levels and is a dance fitness based class focused on the experience and having a fun time. It’s not focused on getting the choreography perfectly. We focus on using the choreography to have the most fun dancing & sweating our faces off. 🤣 Just had to say that for anyone worried about their level of dance experience.

Lastly, ALL my classes & workshops are a safe space for artistic expression, fitness, self-growth, self-empowerment, community, the love of music & most importantly, FUN. 😄

What to bring?
