Looking forward to being back in October & November to teach workshops & masterclasses, take dance classes, see shows and catch up with more friends. 😁

After 11 years of thriving in NYC, before moving out to LA, I found an incredible group of people through my career & many survival jobs & travels. I’m always reminded how grateful I am to have such a tribe, to belong to these artistic communities & to be fellow colleagues with the artists whose work (on Broadway, in TV, Film & voice over), inspired me to be the artist and person that I am today.

❗️Raising money for the @sagaftrafound as a proud @sagaftra member, sharing awareness & spreading solidarity for my fellow union laborers! ✊🏼

And as a working union member who is also affected by the strike… after 20 years of speaking, teaching masterclasses & workshops in acting, dancing, singing, auditioning, stage combat & career-mindset, I’m also now a certified @groov3dance instructor 😁🎉🕺🏻

Why would I do this?… Well, I noticed that not everyone who was interested in taking a class from me, were formerly trained/professional dancers or performers, but who still wanted to learn choreography, exercise, perform and/or have a creative learning experience, soooo… now I will be teaching this hip-hop cardio dance class periodically in LA, and in other cities that bring me in for teaching & speaking engagements.

I felt particularly grateful to run into some friends and colleagues today at the rally. HAPPY LABOR DAY!… Since today is a day off from our typical picketing I thought I’d share some videos and photos from recent picket lines I’ve walked and sang in. This one is Picket Karaoke where picketers can volunteer to sing a karaoke song, have some fun and sometimes even change the lyrics to fit the the fact that we’re out here on strike for fair wages and a fair contract.

Even a lack of coffee & a body warm up won’t keep me from reviewing dance choreography on the platform while waiting for my BART train.

Looking forward to working with tonight’s workshop attendees on this piece of choreography that has been a favorite of mine. My dance captain skills will come in handle as I set this choreography on a groups of artists, and see what we can create using the inspiration of the song “Come Alive” from The Greatest Shoman by @pasekandpaul and the brilliant, inspiring original choreography by Ashley Wallen.
